Key Truth #10

The Christian Life Is One of Growth

Trusting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is not an end, but the beginning of a life that should grow more and more full and exciting. If you would grow properly you need to feed your soul.

You do so by spending time reading and studying the Bible. You also need to develop a prayer life. God speaks to us through His word but we need to pray asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate our understanding and to enable us to be obedient to God's will. There is also the need to understand that the Christian life is not a solitary experience. All true Christians need to find and unite with a solid, Christ loving, Bible believing, gospel-preaching congregation. Additionally, as Christians we learn that our lives are to be lives of service to the God who has graciously saved us.

Jesus answered, It is written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. - Matthew 4:4

Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart. - Psalm 119:34

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching. - Hebrews 10:25

This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God maybe careful to devote themselves to doing what is good These things are excellent and profitable for everyone. - Titus 3:8

We would love to hear from you!
